Please let me know if I ever get carried away with all the photos I put up here and accidentally put up a photo that you'd rather not have included,  misspelled your name, or missed a link to your webpage. It's fun sharing photos of some of the events that Susan and I participate in and we'd feel terrible if we hurt someone's feelings innadvertantly.

David Johnson did a great job as moderator for a pannel on collecting art.

And here's the pannel itself with the gathered experts -- you become an expert on collecting by buying lots of paintings, in case anyone was wondering. The combined collections of this group would rival most museums!

Here's our buddy, Bill, from New Jersey. He wasn't in the show, but did some awsome paintings during the campout nevertheless. When Bill found out that Kevin MacPherson was originally from New Jersey, his accent seemed to become even stronger as he shouted, "No way, man! What exit!"

Here's me, Kevin Macpherson, and Matt Smith painting during the campout. Notice how I tower over them! Thanks to Wanda MacPherson for the photo!

Here's the painting Kevin was doing.

Here's Matt's painting. More of his work can be seen at MattSmith-FineArt.com

Kevin told me that when he was doing a demo for a workshop in France, an old lady ran up to him with a painting and angrily pointed out some damaged sections to him. Once he got someone to translate what she was saying, Kevin learned that the painting had been damaged by some shrapnel from an Allied bomber in WWII. Since he was American, she held Kevin responsible and felt it was his duty to fix the damaged to the painting. Kevin said he was happy to, and after a few minutes had the areas touched up with the lady happily on her way back home. It seems to me that Kevin is such a good embassador that the US government might make more use of his skills. I wonder is Saddam Husein needs his portrait painted?

Another photo of Kevin Painting.

Here's Ralph Oberg out in the field.

Here's another artistic photo Wanda Macpherson took of me painting. Kevin says she never gets good photos of him painting -- well, I guess Wanda just has to have a more inspiring subject!

Here's Paul Mullaly painting in the almost-nude. Paul looks pretty deadly with that brush -- wouldn't want to get too close!. More of his work can be seen at Trailside Galleries

Here, Louis Escobedo does what he does best (painting) while the rest of us do what we do best (stand around and talk and take photos!)

Jim Lamb as sunset aproaches.

Joseph Bohler painting at the camp. Can't someone tell him that painting is supposed to be hard! No smiling allowed!

Jim Morgan painting a creek behind the campsite -- now here's a serious artist; he wouldn't dare smile at his painting!
